The running back/cornerback rushed 19 times for 278 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-7 victory for unbeaten Rochester Lourdes over Byron. In three games this season, Mason has rushed for 701 yards and eight TDs while playing both ways for the defending state champions of Class 3A.

Mason has earned varsity letters in four sports: football, hockey, track and lacrosse. He has a 3.6 GPA and has been involved in volunteering for Lourdes in many community service projects, such as the ringing of Salvation Army bells for the kettle drive, St. Francis meals for the needy, mission trips, and many other worthwhile volunteer projects.

Lourdes will play host to Cannon Falls on Friday night as the regular season reaches the halfway point.
