Hermantown Boys Hockey - Tuesday, March 14, 2017

The Hawks captured their second consecutive Class 1A state championship in dramatic fashion, winning all three games at state in overtime. They defeated Luverne in the quarterfinals and St. Cloud Cathedral in the semifinals, both in one overtime. They held off Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake in the title game, which went two overtimes.

Hermantown had finished second at state for six year in a row before winning the title last year. They finished the 2016-17 season with a record of 29-1-1.

Congratulations to Hermantown boys hockey for being this week’s Old Dutch Quality Team of the Week!
