Belle Plaine High School - Tuesday Nov. 17th, 2015

The top-seeded Tigers made the most of their first appearance in a state championship volleyball match, defeating Concordia Academy-Roseville 3-1 to claim their first Class 2A state title. Belle Plaine finished the season with a record of 32-3.

It was a fitting season end for a team filled with athletes who have played together since elementary school. Nine Belle Plaine volleyball teams have played at state, with the 2012 and 2014 teams losing in the semifinals. This year’s trip to state was the Tigers’ third in a row.

Congratulations to the Belle Plaine Volleyball Team for being this weeks Old Dutch High School Team of the Week!
