The Irish made history by winning their school’s first volleyball state championship, defeating Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, Kasson-Mantorville and Concordia Academy in the Class 2A tournament.

Maple Lake came into the tournament as the second-ranked team in Class 2A and the second-seeded team in the field. They finished with a record of 30-3. The Irish had made four previous trips to state, most recently in 2014.

Congratulations to Maple Lake volleyball for being this week’s Old Dutch Quality Team of the Week.
