How to play:

How can you not love a game named after the potato? Part dodgeball, part PIG, the goal is to get other players out by giving them the letters that spell SPUD. You can get and give letters by hitting people with the ball, catching it or dodging it.

First assign every player a number, then pick someone to throw up the ball. When the ball is tossed into the air, everyone scatters and the thrower yells out the number of one of the other players. Whoever's number is called out must retrieve the ball. When that person catches the ball s/he yells "FREEZE" and everyone must stop. The thrower now gets three steps to try to hit another player with the ball. If s/he hits someone, that player gets a letter. If s/he misses, or the other player catches the ball, the thrower gets a letter. Once a player accumulates the letters SPUD, s/he is out of the game and is free to go snack on some chips. I mean come on, the name alone gets you hungry doesn't it?

The person whose number is called out and throws the ball at other players, then becomes the person to toss up the ball the next round. Your number should stay the same throughout the game so remember what it is. And if you feel like playing longer, feel free to spell out, "OLD DUTCH LOADED SPUD RIPPLES".
