The Old Dutch Sled Hill Finder
It's time to head down your favorite hill with Old Dutch. And to give you a little push, we've listed some of our favorite sled hills throughout the Midwest. So get out, have fun, be safe and make sure to enter the Old Dutch Great Toboggan Giveaway.

ILLINOIS
Hill: Westchester Hill
City: Westchester, Illinois
The Ride: Long and straight. Most speed is built at the top of the hill and carries you through the gradual bottom portion.
Directions: Sled riding hill at Westchester Woods, Cermak Rd., east of LaGrange Rd. This is part of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County.
Hill: The Rock
City: Rock Island, Illinois
The Ride: Bump city. If you like flying between and off of humps and bumps this is your hill. Best for the experienced sledder.
Directions: Located in Long View Park, at the intersection of 17th St & 18th Ave.

IOWA
Hill: Hickory Hill
City: Waterloo, Iowa
The Ride: A hidden hill that's worth the hike. Set back from the road you have to walk about a 1/4 mile through the woods to reach it, but it's well worth every step.
Directions: Hickory Hills County Park, South of Waterloo, 3338 Hickory Hills Rd. Park by boat ramp and walk over bridge and through woods towards hill.

MICHIGAN
Hill: City Forest
City: Midland, Michigan
The Ride: The perfect hill for families and fun-seekers. The large hill is supervised and only allows plastic sleds. There are also four iced, elevated tobogganing runs. There is a fireplace, restrooms, telephones and a snack bar at the nearby City Forest Chalet.
Directions: City Forest is located on Monroe Rd., a quarter mile west of Eastman Ave.
Hill: The Fridge
City: Waterford, Michigan
The Ride: Michigan's only refrigerated toboggan run. The run is over 1000 feet long with a 55-foot drop. Area also includes a kid's hill for beginners and the less adventurous.
Directions: 1702 Scott Lake Road, between Dixie Highway & Pontiac Lake Road.

MINNESOTA
Hill: Ridgemount
City: Plymouth, Minnesota
The Ride: Steep, long and fast, this hill features a plateau half way down the hill which makes a perfect launching spot for a jump. It also has two distinct sides of the hill with the South Face being the steeper, yet shorter of the two.
Directions: The hill is located at Wayzata East Middle School.
Hill: Battle Creek Regional Park
City: St. Paul, Minnesota
The Ride: A lighted hill that makes the perfect family sledding spot. When conditions permit, the hill is lit until 9pm.
Directions: Battle Creek Park off of Winthrop Street.
Hill: Como Park
City: St. Paul, Minnesota
The Ride: Complete with a tow-rope, it's a sled hill you can ride on the way up. The nearby chalet offers a great place to warm up. Area is also used for skiing and snowboarding.
Directions: 1431 N. Lexington Pkwy in St. Paul
Hill: Rock Hill
City: Duluth, Minnesota
The Ride: A tall steep hill for the seasoned sledder. Make use of some of the trails less traveled for a really fun run.
Directions: Bagley Nature Center between UMD and St. Scholastica.
Hill: Wilson Park
City: St. Cloud, Minnesota
The Ride: A hill for every level. With a few hills to choose from, Wilson Park has something for everyone. From tree-lined daredevil runs to open, gradual slopes, you can find what you're looking for.
Directions: Sled riding hills at Wilson Park, located along the east bank of the Mississippi River right near the boundary between Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud.

NEBRASKA
Hill: Clemmons Park
City: Fremont, Nebraska
The Ride: Guaranteed sledding. The hill has its own snow making machine for when snow levels get low.
Directions: Sledding hill at Clemmons Park, 19th St. and Luther Road.

NORTH DAKOTA
Hill: Glass Hill
City: Stanley, North Dakota
The Ride: A ride as smooth as its name.
Directions: Look for the tallest hill in Stanley.

SOUTH DAKOTA
Hill: Sherman Park
City: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
The Ride: As any local cross country runner will tell you, this hill is long and steep-and a lot more fun to go down than it is to run up.
Directions: Kiwanis Ave. 12th to 22nd St.

WISCONSIN
Hill: Radar Hill
City: Madison, WI
The Ride: Touted as Madison's largest sledding hill, it's perfect for speed freaks and people who don't mind hiking up a tall hill.
Directions: Take Hwy 51 to Milwaukee St. to Radar Hill. It is part of Heistand Park.
Hill: Whitnall Park Golf Course
City: Greendale, Wisconsin
The Ride: Minimal hazards on this very wide open hill. Gradual slope makes it prefect for families.
Directions: The hill can be accessed from Rawson Ave. just east of Hwy 100. This sledding hill is at the south-west end of the cross-country ski trail.
