Pretzel Cherry Torte

Ingredients

 Crust:

1 Cup of Flour
1 Stick of Butter, melted
1 Cup of Walnuts, finely chopped

2 Cups of Old Dutch Fat Free Mini Pretzels*, coarsly crushed             (Approximately 3 oz of Pretzels = 1 Cup)

Filling:

1 Cup of Powdered Sugar
2 Cups of Non-Dairy Whipped Topping, thawed
1- 8 oz Package of Cream Cheese, softened

 

Toppings:

1 Can of Cherry Pie Filling**
1 - 2 Cups of Non-Dairy Whipped Topping, thawed

 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix all of the crust ingredients together and pat evenly into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Set aside the to crust cool.
  • Meanwhile mix together the filling ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • Once crust has cooled spread an even layer of cherry pie filling on top of the filling.
  • For the final layer spread evenly a layer of non-dairy whipped topping.
  • Garnish with uncrushed Old Dutch Fat Free Mini Pretzels.
  • Refrigerate dish for 30 minutes and serve chilled.

Recipe Variations

  • *For an alternative crust: Substitute Old Dutch Original Ripples Potato Chips for our Old Dutch Fat Free Mini Pretzels.
  • **Substitute the Cherry pie filling for any other great flavors of pie filling (Blueberry, Apple, or Strawberry).
