Shrimptastic Stuffed Peppers

Shrimptastic Stuffed Peppers


5 Large Green Peppers*
1/4 Cup of Butter, melted
2 1/4 Cups of Old Dutch Original Potato Chips, finely crushed (Approximately 3 oz of Potato Chips = 1 Cup)
2 2/3 Cups of  Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 lb. of Fully Cooked & Peeled Shrimp
1 - 16 oz Can of Tomato Sauce
2 Teaspoons of Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
1/4 Teaspoon of Pepper
1 Teaspoon of Oregano


  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Wash the peppers, cut the tops off, and clean out the seeds.
  • Place peppers in a large sauce pan of boiling salted water (enough to cover each pepper completely).
  • Boil peppers for 5 minutes.
  • Drain peppers and let them dry upside down on paper towels.
  • Combine butter, Old Dutch Original Potato chips, 2 cups of cheese, and shrimp.
  • Place the mixture proportionately into each pepper.
  • Place each pepper into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl combine tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  • Pour half of the sauce into the bottom of the baking dish with the peppers.
  • Sprinkle tops of Peppers with remaining shredded cheese.
  • Place in oven and bake for 30 min.
  • In a medium sauce pan heat remaining sauce and spoon over the baked peppers when you are ready to serve.

Recipe Variations

  • *Substitute the Green Peppers for Red Bell or Yellow Peppers.
