Caramel Wrapped Pretzel Rods


1 Package of Old Dutch Pretzel Rods
1 Package of Almond Bark (Chocolate or White)
1 Package of Individual wrapped Caramels


  • Melt the almond bark in a double broiler on medium heat.
  • Unwrap all of the caramels and roll out like a snake (about 3 inches long).
  • Take an Old Dutch Pretzel Rod and one caramel piece and wrap it around the pretzel.
  • Next take the caramel pretzel rod and dip it in the melted almond bark.
  • Tap off excess almond bark and set on a sheet of wax paper to cool.

Recipe Variations

  • For an added touch decorate finished pretzels with sprinkles, crushed nuts, or drizzle with the opposite color of almond bark.
  • If you do not have a double broiler you can improvise by placing an ovenproof glass or metal bowl in a larger saucepan of hot water, in either case do not let the bottom of the bowl touch the hot water.
